Accessibility Statement of TourCert

TourCert is committed to making its website https://tourcert.org accessible to all users. Our goal is to ensure equal access to information and services for everyone, particularly for people with disabilities. We continuously work to improve usability, remove digital barriers, and provide an experience that is as accessible as possible.

Legal Framework

Our approach to digital accessibility is guided by the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the harmonized European standard EN 301 549. This standard refers to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Levels A and AA, which are internationally recognized as the benchmark for accessible web content.

Compliance Status

The website has been reviewed in accordance with the four core principles of accessibility: perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness. Existing barriers have been identified, and measures to address them have been initiated. To enhance accessibility, the Accessibility Sidebar plugin by Divi-Modules has been integrated. This tool allows users to customize font size, line spacing, and text alignment, activate contrast and color filters for improved readability, use screen readers to access content, and navigate via keyboard with visible focus indicators. Additional features include an enlarged cursor, a reading mask, and a reading guide.

All relevant images have been provided with alternative text to ensure compatibility with screen readers. In areas where the plugin reaches its limits, additional manual adjustments have been implemented, particularly to ensure full keyboard navigation and the visibility of interactive elements.
