It is now widely recognized that a sustainable transformation of the tourism sector is essential. The entire industry is called upon to drive this change. Yet, many organizations still face uncertainty about where to begin. This seminar equips you with the skills needed to approach sustainability in a structured and strategic way.Using practical tools and checklists, we provide in-depth knowledge of the key elements of a sustainability management system within a tourism organization: from developing a mission statement and sustainability strategy to implementing sustainable supply chain management and fostering effective stakeholder dialogue with both internal and external partners.
What to expect
This online compact seminar is designed for professionals working in tourism who wish to further their expertise in sustainability or are responsible for supporting and implementing sustainability within their organization. This includes tour operators, accommodation providers, destination management organizations, and other tourism-related businesses. We also welcome freelancers who are interested in the systematic implementation of sustainability in organizations, are seeking a new professional direction, or are ready to take on new challenges.

Course B: June 18-19, 2026 (2 × 3 hours; each day 10:00–13:00)
Course C: September 24–25, 2026 (2 × 3 hours; each day 10:00–13:00)
Course D: November 26–27, 2026 (2 × 3 hours; each day 10:00–13:00)
Please note
The compact seminar is divided into two sessions: either spread across two days with 3 hours each or delivered in one day with an extended lunch break.
Participation fee
The course fee is €315.00 (VAT-exempt in accordance with § 4 No. 22 of the German VAT Act).
Members of the TourCert Community (Qualified or certified) receive a 10% discount upon submission of appropriate proof to
academy@tourcert.org.
Minimum number of participants
This training will only take place if the minimum number of 8 participants is reached. If registrations are insufficient up to two weeks before the start date, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the seminar. In such cases, all participants will be informed in due time and any fees already paid will be fully refunded.

The trainer
Angela Giraldo
Angela Giraldo heads the Consulting and Training division at TourCert. Born in Cali, Colombia, and holding Peruvian citizenship, she has been living in Germany since 1981. She holds a degree in Business Administration and Public Relations. Early in her career, she led study tours to Latin America, worked as an evaluator in development cooperation, and spoke at international conferences. Today, her work focuses on advising tourism businesses and projects in Europe and Latin America, with a strong emphasis on socially and environmentally responsible tourism. She has been closely involved from the outset in the development of the CSR certification system for tourism and in the founding of TourCert.
