Biodiversity
More than just nature’s diversity
A vital foundation
Biodiversity is natural capital and, as such, forms the basis of our economy, production systems, and livelihoods. During a guided forest exploration, you will discover that biodiversity goes far beyond the concept of biological variety. You will gain a deeper understanding of how both the economy and society depend on rich biodiversity to secure their future. You will also learn that every individual has an ecological footprint that directly or indirectly impacts biodiversity and that this impact can be managed consciously and effectively.
What to expect
Who could be a better teacher for a seminar on biodiversity than nature itself? Embark on an immersive journey into the natural world, where you will experience different aspects of sustainability firsthand, engaging all your senses while gaining fresh perspectives.
The outdoor excursion is complemented by a keynote input, facilitated discussions, and group work in the seminar room at the Haus des Waldes.

The facilitator
Dr. Stefan Rösler is a consultant, trainer, lecturer, facilitator, and nature coach. As early as 1994, he coined the term “nature-based economy” and has since been committed, in a variety of roles, to promoting nature-compatible economic and societal development. He holds degrees in forestry, landscape planning, and landscape ecology and served as the first full-time state chair of NABU in Baden-Württemberg from 1997 to 2007. In 2008, he founded his agency oecoach. His work is inspired by the strategies and success principles found in nature. What can businesses and organizations learn from evolutionary processes and complex ecosystems when it comes to strategic management, process optimization, and team development? In his outdoor workshops, he deciphers nature’s success principles and explores how they can be applied in everyday business and organizational contexts.
